Harvey Marcovitch, Chair of the Board of Directors of Mac Keith Press.

Dr Harvey Marcovitch – Chair

Harvey Marcovitch was consultant paediatrician at Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust and honorary senior clinical lecturer at the University of Oxford. He was editor-in-chief of Archives of Disease in Childhood and an honorary officer (external relations adviser) for the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (RCPCH). He has held a number of editorial roles, including with the BMJ Publishing Group and RSM Press Ltd. He has completed a term as chairman of the Committee on Publication Ethics, was a board member of the UK Research Integrity Office and director of the Council of Science Editors (US). For the last 11 years he has chaired Fitness to Practice Panels of the General Medical Council (now Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service).

Ms Caroline Black

Caroline Black has substantial experience of working in the publishing industry in a variety of editorial and management roles. She is currently Publishing Director, STM Journal at Cambridge Univeristy Press and was a Senior Publisher at BioMed Central. She was Managing Director of Mac Keith Press from October 2007 to September 2011.


Mr Danny Burke

Danny is an ACMA with many years finance experience in a range of line, advisory and interim management roles in the Public, Not for Profit and Private Sectors. He has significant experience as a financial management consultant with such organisations as PwC and IBM. He also has past experience as a Financial Controller in the Telecoms industry and as a Finance Director with PwC Consulting.


Lucinda Carr

Dr Lucinda Carr (Chair of the Editorial Board)

Dr Lucinda Carr has been a consultant in Paediatric Neurology and Neurodisability at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London since 1997. Her particular clinical and academic interests are in the diagnosis and management of movement disorders and of cerebral palsy.


Bob Eames 

Mr Bob Eames

Bob Eames is a qualified chartered accountant with an engineering background. He has been a member of the Trustee Board of Scope.


Dr Christoper Morris

Associate Professor Christopher Morris

Chris Morris leads the Peninsula Cerebra Childhood Disability Research Unit (PenCRU). He has 20 years’ experience working as an orthotist and was involved in establishing the Oxford Gait Laboratory. Chris has broad experience with a variety of health services research methods. His methodological interests include measurement issues in child health and disability, qualitative research with children, and the appraisal and use of patient reported outcome measures. He is also interested in methods for involving families of disabled children in research.

Dr Allen Stevens

Allen Stevens currently holds a senior publishing role with Oxford University Press, and previously was Publishing Director at Wiley-Blackwell.
