Glassboxx instructions

With the goal of improving user experience, we now host our Ebooks through Glassboxx. Glassboxx offers more flexibility to read how you want, with customisable display settings and features, improved interactivity, greater digital rights security, and enhanced accessibility for readers with visual impairments.

If your order contains audiobooks and/or Ebooks you should use the Glassboxx app on your iOS or Android phone or tablet, or Windows or Mac computers (see below) or the Glassboxx desktop reader to listen to or read your books.

  • If you already have Glassboxx on your phone or tablet, go to MY BOOKS to see your new purchases.
  • If you don’t yet have the Glassboxx app, click the relevant link below to install it.
  • Log in with the email address used for your purchase.
  • A verification code will be sent to your email address to confirm your access.
  • The audiobooks and/or Ebooks you’ve just bought will be displayed on MY BOOKS.
  • It can take a few minutes for books to appear in the app. After logging in, tap the refresh option to make sure you have received your latest books.

PDFs and ePUBS

Some of our Ebooks are PDFs as opposed to ePUBs – PDFs offer less functionality. Due to the nature of PDFs and web pages, PDFs can’t be sufficiently protected in the browser, so to read them you will need to use the Glassboxx app using one of the links above. If you have issues viewing an Ebook in the app, try it in the desktop reader. Equally if you can’t access an eBook through the desktop reader, try reading it in the app instead.

ePUBs offer a more dynamic reading experience and better accessibility for readers with visual impairments. With ePUBs there is more flexibility to read how you want:

  • Change display settings to suit your preferences: font size, font type, colours, scroll mode or paginated mode, word/line spacing, etc.
  • Improved interactivity with content: clickable links, references, imbedded videos.
  • Read aloud functionality.
  • More robust copyright protection of digital content, to prevent unauthorised access and distribution.
